October 15th is Global Handwashing Day and the 2021 theme is “Our Future is at Hand – Let’s Move Forward Together.” 

If there is one thing we have learnt from the COVID-19, it is that personal hygiene is of the utmost importance for our health and therefore the Global Handwashing  Day helps to spread the word about handwashing and the value of clean hands. 

Since the beginnings in 2008, Global Handwashing Day has continued to grow. And nowadays the Global Handwashing Day is endorsed by governments, schools, international institutions, civil society organizations, NGOs, private companies, and individuals.
