According to the federal government of Germany the best opportunities to conduct early wear of electrical appliances exist especially at EU level. The European Commission wants to investigate improvements in the elaboration of material efficiency requirements in ecodesign product ordinances more systematically, particulary in the context of implementing a Circular Enonomy Package (using resources in a more sustainable way) and the working schedule 2016-2019 on the Ecodesign Directive.

Responding to an enquiry by the Greens on that topic, the government affirmed to support the Comissions position. This may lead to new prescriptions in manufacturing and material processing. eHA will accompany the negotiations constructively.
