European Green Deal: Building Towards A Climate-Neutral Continent

On Wednesday 11 December von der Leyen’s Commission has released its plan for the green future of the European Union. In various statements, von der Leyen and Frans Timmermans, the responsible Vice-President in this matter, pointed out that huge efforts need to be made to turn Europe into a climate-neutral continent.

“Our goal is to reconcile the economy with our planet. To reconcile the way we produce, the way we consume, with our planet. And to make it work for our people. […] We do not have all the answers yet. Today is the start of a journey. But this is Europe’s ‘man on the moon’ moment”, Ursula von der Leyen said in the press conference.

The eHA will carefully analyse the different areas (e.g. circular economy) and actions outlined in the Green Deal to determine whether and under what conditions the electric hand dryer industry will benefit. Electric hand drying is a sustainable technology and should therefore be part of the Union’s transformation towards a climate-neutral future.
